The Shema & Tawhid

1. Pure Monotheism: The Uncompromising Oneness of God (Tawhid)

The fundamental core of Islam is Tawhid — the absolute, uncompromising Oneness of God. Allah is the sole Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all existence. He has no partners, no parents, and no offspring.

Just as Jesus affirmed the greatest commandment: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one' (Mark 12:29 / Deuteronomy 6:4), the Qur'an confirms this same timeless truth in Surah Al-Ikhlas. In Islam, every human being has direct, unmediated access to God through sincere prayer and devotion.

The Messiah & Virgin Mary

2. Jesus and Mary in the Qur'an: Honour, Miracles, and Truth

A Muslim cannot be a Muslim without loving and believing in Jesus (peace be upon him) and his noble mother Mary. The Qur'an mentions Jesus by name 25 times — more than five times as often as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Furthermore, the 19th chapter of the Qur'an is named after Mary (Surah Maryam) — the only woman mentioned by name in the entire Qur'an. She is hailed as the most chosen and purified woman of all nations. Jesus is revered as the Messiah, a spirit from God and His word, who spoke in infancy and healed the blind and leper by God's permission.

One Chain of Guidance

3. The Continuity of Prophecy: From Abraham and Moses to Muhammad

Islam is not an entirely new faith invented in the 7th century; rather, it is the culmination and final confirmation of the primordial religion taught by Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, and finalized by Muhammad (peace be upon them all).

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: 'My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder in its beauty, yet they say: Would that this brick be put in its place! So I am that brick, and I am the seal of the prophets.' (Sahih al-Bukhari: 3535).

Grace & Forgiveness

4. Salvation, Divine Grace, and Personal Accountability

In Islam, humans are not born in a state of original sin; every child is born in purity and natural innocence (Fitrah). Furthermore, absolute justice dictates that no soul shall bear the burden of another's sins.

Salvation is reached through God's infinite grace (Rahmah) and sincere personal repentance (Tawbah). No sacrifice or bloodshed is required for God to forgive; whenever a servant turns back to Allah in sincerity, Allah forgives all sins, for He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Preserved Revelation

5. The Holy Qur'an: The Preserved Word of God

The Qur'an stands unique among world scriptures because it has been preserved verbatim in its original revealed language (Arabic) for more than 1,400 years, memorized cover-to-cover by millions of people across centuries.

God Himself undertook the promise of safeguarding it from interpolation, guaranteeing that seekers of truth have direct access to His authentic, uncorrupted guidance.
